#TRIBE24 JUST GETTING STARTED

The Seminoles are looking to continue their success on the recruiting trail, hoping to achieve a top-ten recruiting class for the first time since 2017. In this article, we at FifthQuarter will highlight three prospects from the 2024 recruiting cycle that Seminole fans need to monitor to make that dream turn into a reality.

FIVE-STAR CB CHARLES LESTER III

The defensive back prospect is arguably one of the most talented and most coveted prospects on the Seminoles’ recruiting board for the 2024 cycle. Florida State seems to be the leader at this time for Lester III as the Seminoles have two crystal ball predictions from Noles247 FSU Insider Brendan Sonnone and 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong. Not to mention, the Sarasota (Fl.) native has visited Florida State seven times since being offered by the Seminoles on January 3, 2022. Ohio State and Georgia remain a concern for the Seminoles as the Bulldogs have an official visit scheduled on June 9, 2023, while the Buckeyes have an official visit scheduled on June 16, 2023. Thankfully, Florida State gets the last impression for Lester III as they scheduled his official visit for June 23, 2023. This is a prospect that the Seminoles need to land in order to create momentum on the recruiting trail.

FIVE-STAR WR JOSHISA TRADER

The Seminoles made a splash during the 2023 recruiting cycle as they landed five-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams from Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This acquisition created a sizable amount of buzz around the program as the Seminoles had not landed a five-star wide receiver prospect since the 2015 recruiting cycle when they signed *prepare to feel old* George Campbell. This is an opportunity for Florida State with five-star playmaker Joshisa Trader. The Chaminade Madonna Prep standout visited the Seminoles recently on March 4, 2023, and stated that Florida State remains high on the pecking order in terms of schools. However, teams such as Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, and Florida stand out as contenders in his recruitment. The nearby Miami Hurricanes hold the crystal ball prediction advantage as 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong put in the prediction on January 21, 2023.

FOUR-STAR DE DYLAN STEPHENSON

Unfortunately, after the 2023 season, the Seminoles will most likely not have the services of ultra-talented defensive end Jared Verse who will be entering the 2024 NFL Draft. That means that Florida State needs to replenish the void felt by the former Albany transfer. As most Seminole fans know, top defensive end commit Keldric Faulk from the 2023 recruiting cycle flipped his commitment from Florida State to the home-state Auburn Tigers. As the 2024 recruiting cycle winds down, the coaching staff needs to ensure that they could obtain top pass-rushing talent. The first step in doing so is acquiring four-star defensive end Dylan Stephenson from Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. Stephenson has visited the Seminoles three times since being offered on March 2, 2021. But like Trader, the hometown Miami Hurricanes are heavily involved with the Columbus High School standout.
