Week 7 Predictions

Top 25

(23) Illinois 34 Purdue 14

• This is plain and simple, Illinois is a good football team and Purdue is very bad, the Illini win this game easily.

California 35 (22) Pittsburgh 31

• My formula loves the Golden Bears in this one ATS at +3.5 but I believe it’s a good opportunity for them to win outright.

(21) Missouri 52 UMass 10

• What a wonderful punishment for Mizzou after playing completely horrible vs Texas A&M than having to travel to Amherst Massachusetts to play the Minutemen. All jokes aside though I expect a Missouri blowout win.

(18) Kansas State 35 Colorado 34

• I believe this could be one of the better games of a loaded weekend. I see this one being back & forth with Colorado struggling to stop Avery Johnson and the Wildcats rushing attack and KSU struggling to stop Shedeur and the Buffaloes WRs. My formula has KSU as just a 1 point favorite so in a created scenario I’d say Colorado scores a TD to make it 35-34 and goes for two which us unsuccessful.

(17) Boise State 42 Hawaii 21

• Ashton Jeanty has been phenomenal this season averaging almost 11 ypc. Hawaii actually has a decent defense vs the run but I don’t see them slowing down or stopping a player like Jeanty. The Broncos win big in this game.

(16) Utah 24 Arizona State 20

• The belief is that Cam Rising will actually play in this game but trying to predict when he will play is like trying to guess the Mega Million numbers so tread lightly.

(13) LSU 34 (9) Ole Miss 31

• Brian Kelly vs Lane Kiffin, Jaxson Dart leading one offense, Garrett Nussmeier leading another. This game should be outstanding but I have to trust my formula and pick LSU to win outright.

(11) Notre Dame 34 Stanford 13

• The Irish should be able to control the lines of scrimmage in this game and establish the run on offense. The Irish also have the secondary good enough to shutdown Elic Ayomanor, Irish win big.

West Virginia 27 (11) Iowa State 21

• I picked WVU to play in the Big 12 Championship game before the season and this game is honestly a toss up in my opinion. My formula leans Mountaineers so I’ll take WVU +3.5 but I’m also picking the outright win.

(10) Clemson 45 Wake Forest 17

• The Tigers have woke up since that bludgeoning vs Georgia. Cade Klubnik is getting his name in the Heisman Conversation and their firing on all cylinders right now, Clemson wins big.

(8) Tennessee 36 Florida 13

• I was surprised the Vols lost last week but was even more surprised by them only scoring 14 points and how bad Nico Iamaleava looked under pressure. I’m expecting a bounce back this week in a game that Billy Napier desperately needs for the Gators.

(7) Alabama 31 South Carolina 17

• The Crimson Tide defense looks very vulnerable and while I’m not sure LaNorris Sellers can exploit their weak secondary I do believe he can move the ball on the ground. The Gamecocks have an excellent pass rush and solid defense and I believe they can keep this close enough to cover the 21 point spread.

(5) Georgia 49 Mississippi State 7

• This will be a splattering, Georgia wins BIG!!!!!!

(4) Penn State 27 USC 24

• Penn State is one of those teams I believe makes the CFP but doesn’t really have much of an opportunity to win it, they have a good team but not a National Championship winning team. I do believe the Nittany Lions are better than the Trojans though and should get a close road win.

(2) Ohio State 30 (3) Oregon 27

• This is one of the rare times I go against what my formula says. My formula actually likes Oregon to win this game but I’m going with Ohio State. I believe the Buckeyes will establish a rushing attack with the two star RBs and Will Howard and the elite WRs will cause the Ducks secondary problems. Dillon Gabriel has made some mistakes lately in games that would be devastating to the Ducks if it happened vs the Buckeyes. I expect a close, back & forth game with the Buckeyes getting the win.

(1) Texas 38 (18) Oklahoma 6

• The Red River Rivalry is always one of my favorites, unfortunately I believe it’s a lopsided matchup this year. Quinn Ewers is back as the Longhorns Starter and the Longhorns have the O-Line and Defenses that will stifle the Sooners. I believe Oklahoma QB Michael Hawkins Jr has a lot of potential but he will struggle in this one, Texas wins big and covers.
