Week 12 Predictions

(22) Utah 27 (17) Arizona 24

• The Utes continue to play extremely well despite the massive number of injuries that have plagued them all season. QB Bryson Barnes has provided a spark and they’re a tough team to play. Arizona has been phenomenal this season, they’re 7-3 and QB Noah Fifita is playing exceptionally well. This one should be back and forth and close but I expect the Utes to pull out a tough fought win.

(21) Kansas State 38 (25) Kansas 24

• It always scares me betting against this Kansas Jayhawks team, they’re well coached and play with discipline. Overall I believe Kansas State is the better team and should win but in a Rivalry game you never know what could happen.

Clemson 35 (20) UNC 24

• This is a principle I have, and it’s 2 for 3 this season. When the unranked team is the favorite over the ranked team the unranked team wins 75-80% of the time so I fully expect Clemson to win. The Tigers might be unranked but QB Cade Klubnik has started to find his rhythm and UNC struggled last week vs a depleted Duke squad.

(19) Notre Dame 42 Wake Forest 10

• The Sam Hartman game, and I don’t expect it to be close. Wake Forest is really bad this season and they’re no match for the Irish. I expect Sam Hartman to play very well and get 3-4 TDs. 

(16) Iowa 17 Illinois 12

• This is an important game in the Big Ten West and I expect it will be low scoring and kind of sloppy. Last week the Hawkeyes got a big win vs Rutgers while Illinois outlasted the Hoosiers. If Illinois QB John Paddock can play like he did last week then the Illini just might win this one.

(11) Oregon State 35 (5) Washington 31

• This is going to be the game of the week. Washington travels to Corvallis to face the Beavers who are actually 2.5 point favorites. This feels like an upset pick but ATS it’s actually not. Michael Penix Jr and the Huskies Offense is lethal but the Defense didn’t impress me last week vs Utah. I believe the Beavers play great with the home field advantage and upset the undefeated and 5th ranked Huskies.

Miami 27 (10) Louisville 24

• The Canes actually gave the 4th ranked Noles a tough fight last week and I’ll be honest I don’t think Louisville is a Top 10 team in CFB. Miami has QB concerns but playmakers at RB & WR and I like what they have on Defense. Louisville will need a big game from RB Jawhar Jordan and WR Jamari Thrash to win this game.

• This is a trendy upset pick for Week 12 but I believe the Longhorns are much better than the Cyclones. RB Jonathon Brooks is OUT but True Freshman CJ Baxter is a playmaker who should do well. Quinn Ewers looked rusty last week in his return but I’m expecting him to get back on track. Longhorns win and cover ATS.

• The Wolverines play the Buckeyes next week, I don’t think they get caught in a look ahead spot here but I do believe the Terps get the cover ATS.

• 90% of the public will take Georgia -10.5/11 here but I’m actually going with the Vols to cover ATS. I don’t think the Vols are a Top 25 team but at home in Neyland Stadium they’re capable of playing above their capabilities. Georgia has blown out a lot of opponents but also struggled vs Auburn on the road and people called me crazy for picking the Tigers to cover that one.
