Introduction

We’ve created a 130-team bracket using ESPN’s FPI as our ranking system.

“But, anyone can create a bracket, how will the games be simulated?” Great question; NCAA Game Sim was used.

For each game on the bracket, the matchup was simulated once and every day a write-up will be done.

For the matchup, player statistics will be simulated and included in the write-ups.

Finally, thanks to the NCAA Game Sim premium membership, we’ll show the results of doing 100 simulations all at once. This is to see if a given result was more towards the expected side or if a given result was more towards the upset or luckier side.

All of the results have been simulated and tabulated, so at the time of writing the introduction, the results are already in.

This is designed to be fun, so please enjoy.

From Georgia to Massachusetts, here’s the 130-team bracket:

Match 25

(3) Miami vs. (14) Arizona

One player had a great game — Miami receiver Charleston Rambo. He had six receptions for 224 yards and a touchdown.

Everyone else was fairly mediocre, at best.

For example, Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke had some high highs and some low lows.

Highs? Throwing for 348 yards and two touchdowns.

Lows? A 52.9% completion percentage and two interceptions.

The leading rusher in this one was Miami running back Jaylan Knighton, who ran for 61 yards on 14 carries.

Arizona struggled offensively. Quarterback Will Plummer only threw for 114 yards with an interception on 15-for-31 passing.

Running back Michael Wiley was only able to add 24 rushing yards on six carries.

Despite some issues with offensive consistency, Miami was able to win this by a score of 24-7.

In 100 simulations, Miami won 90 by a margin of 32.5-15.9.

Winner’s Next Matchup: Winner of (6) LSU vs. (11) Middle Tennessee

Tomorrow’s Matchup: (3) Texas vs. (14) Old Dominion
