Brayde Owen is one of the top defensive backs out of the state of Oregon.

This multi-sport athlete excels on many levels, especially in the classroom. There, he has managed to put together a 3.9 grade-point average and is a three-time honor roll student.

A natural leader on the field and team captain, Owen says that his leadership skills and ability to overcome difficult and different situations are a few things that help him excel as an overall student athlete. A dangerous defensive back in the Gladstone 4-3-4 defense, this young man hits like a linebacker. He does so with the range of a safety.

Owen maintains great relationships with both his head coach and his position coach. He’s currently working Coach Lou Perrone from the well-known recruiting service, “My Recruits”.

Perrone said a number of schools have Owen on the radar. Lewis and Clark, Western Oregon, Puget Sound, and particularly Willamette, are all high on Owen’s ability.

With Owen’s GPA hovering near a 4.0, it’s no surprise that these top academic institutions are after him. Coach Perrone believes a strong senior season could garner the attention of some Pac-12 schools.

As a first-team all-league performer, there’s a good chance that Owen is just getting started.
