The football talent in the state of Kentucky for the 2022 class is one of the best in recent memory.

With talent seeminly at almost all skill positions and along the lines, the state is showing its teeth once more. Treyveon Longmire is just one shining example of in-state excellence.

The Corbin colossus is one of the top athletes in the state and will have his pick in college locales. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Longmire sat down with us to answer a few questions about his game and recruitment.

Question 1: What academic field are you hoping to study on the college level?

A: Sports science, physical therapy — something that I can stay close to sports.

Question 2: Is academics your main factor when you choose your college, or is it a combination of multiple factors?

A: I want to have good relationship with coaches and I want to go to a program that competes at a high level.

Question 3: Do you want to try and stay close to home for college or would you rather go to a university further away to see new sights?

A: I’m up for anything. I’ll go wherever is best for me. Far away or close doesn’t affect my decision much.

Question 4: What do you think are the strengths of your game as well as areas that can be improved?

A: My speed and agility. I got to get my body weight up. (I’m) working at (defensive back) a lot too now. A lot of schools like me at DB, so working my craft.

Question 5: What position would you like to play at the next level most?

A: Doesn’t matter. Whatever gets me on the field first and where I’m needed.

Question 6: Are there any schools that currently stand out to you this early in the recruiting process?

A: Nah, not really.

Question 7: When you choose a college, will you want to try and start as soon as possible or wait in the wings for a little while?

A: It’d be great to play as soon as possible. I know the top schools have juniors and seniors in front of me. I’ll have to go compete for it.

Question 8: Is there any player already in the college or professional ranks you model you game after?

A: I don’t know if I model my game after him, but I like Tyreek Hill, because he’s so versatile on offense.

Question 9: Is there anything you’d like to say, question to ask, statement to make to our audience about you, your team or anything in between?

A: Follow our football team this year — Corbin Redhounds. We have big goals this season and a lot of ballers on our team. We’re trying to go win a state title.

To finish off we’d like to thank Treyveon for taking time to answer our questions and wish him all the best in his academic and athletic careers going forward.
