A junior at Shadow Creek High School in Houston, Tex., Carlton (C.J.) Guidry has been receiving a lot of interest lately. At 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds, Jackson already has 18 offers and one Texas High School 5A D-1 championship under his belt.
As his high school career carries on, touchdowns will continue to come naturally to this 3-star wide receiver. He has appeared in 28 games for the Shadow Creek Sharks, producing an average of 43.4 receiving yards per game. Guidry has had two straight seasons of 600-plus yards and is looking for another big year.
We caught up with Guidry to talk football and much more before he starts his senior year to defend his high school team’s state title.

Tulsa was my first offer; my latest offer was Prairie View A&M University. (The) Texas Tech offer was the most surprising.

What was your feeling after winning the 5A D1 championship in Texas?
Ecstatic and such a great feeling.

When I snagged on somebody in State Game 11.
