This extremely athletic and talented 2-way standout from South Salem High School in Oregon is one of the top athletes you will find in the Pacific Northwest.
Not only is Watson an all-conference defensive back but he is also an excellent athlete on the track. On the gridiron, Watson earned MVP honors in 2021 at the Oregon All-State Game.
During his junior season, Watson caught 30 passes for 340 yards. He added three interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. Watson has quite the résumé but one of the most impressive things about him is his grade-point average, which currently stands close to a 4.0.
“A huge season is what I’m expecting from Watson,” said Coach Lou Perrone of the well-known recruiting service, My Recruits “He’s got an excellent balance of speed, strength and ball skills — not to mention he’s the smartest player on the field.”
Watson currently holds offers from Carleton, St. Olaf College, Grinnell, Middlebury, and Bowdoin. Each of those schools are top academic institutions in the country. Actively recruiting Watson are also Drake, Fordham and Lehigh amongst other Patriot, Pioneer and Ivy League schools. This is one young man bound to have a huge senior season in the state of Oregon.
