Utah football has been featured prominently in Phil Steele’s All-Pac-12 Teams for 2023, with 12 Utes making the list. Steele has been a strong supporter of the team since they claimed the Pac-12 title in 2021, and has even predicted another win in 2022. Utah’s challenging schedule, which includes road games against Oregon State, USC, and Washington, has not deterred Steele’s optimism for the possibility of a three-peat as Pac-12 Champions in 2023.
For the First-Team All-Pac-12 picks, the Utes are represented by offensive guard Keaton Bills, offensive tackle Sataoa Laumea, defensive tackle Junior Tafuna, and safety Cole Bishop, with linemen dominating these selections.
The Second-Team All-Pac-12 Utes include tight end Brant Kuithe on offense, and linebackers Karene Reid and Levani Damuni representing the defense.
Offensive guard Michael Mokofisi is the sole Utah representative on Steele’s Third-Team All-Pac-12.
Finally, four Utes round out Phil Steele’s Fourth Team. Quarterback Cam Rising, wide receiver Devaughn Vele, defensive end Jonah Elliss, and kicker Cole Becker all make the list. The selection of Rising as a fourth-team quarterback highlights the depth of the Pac-12 in this position, as the reigning Pac-12 Champ is not even among the top three selections.
