The expectations for Brian Burns in the 2017 season were through the roof. Last year as a Freshman, he had 9.5 sacks (which led all freshman) and made the Freshman All American team. No quarterback was suppose to be safe with Burns and Sweat coming off the edges. Well here we are in the ninth game, and we finally had the game from Brian Burns that we all expected. While he has had a sophomore slump, hopefully this game helps him finish strong.
Without his two forced fumbles yesterday, it is safe to say the score is 28-0 at half, and we had no chance anyways. He wrecked havoc on the left side all game, giving Kelly Bryant another thing to keep his eye on. While he doesn’t have the weight a usual defensive end has, he does a great job “running the hoop” using his speed to get around offensive tackles (as seen below).
What is your opinion on Brian Burns? Will he be consistent in the last three games, and build off his Clemson performance? Leave a comment below!
