Meet Calvin Thomas: Newest Wide Receiver for Delaware

Calvin Thomas is a 6-2, 190-pound Wide Receiver from Gainesville, Florida. He flipped his committed to the Blue Hens a few days before early signing day. He was originally committed to Air Force. He is an all around athlete as he can play anywhere on the offensive side. His varsity total includes 352 passing yards with four passing touchdowns, 151 rushing yards, and 899 receiving yards with nine receiving touchdowns. We asked Calvin some questions about himself.

1. What was the ultimate reason you committed to Delaware?

The coaching staff, the environment, and the amount of opportunity on and off the field.

2. What are some of your goals before you get on campus?

Have a set plan for what I want to accomplish throughout my career as well as a timeline to have everything I need academically taken care of.

3. What is your favorite football memory?

Winning nationals in pop warner of my peewee league with my friends my 5th grade year.

4. If you had to compare your style to a NFL/college player, who would be the closest to your style?

I would say Garrett Wilson as I feel as though I can create separation well and understand a defense as well as the game. I also think I can make well contested catches with being the same size and frame as him.

5. Obviously the NFL is the ultimate goal, besides that, what do you want to do post-college career?

I want to get into housing either architecture or real estate as a broker.

6. What is a fact about you that most do not know about you?

I am German with a whole half of my family being German and I am fluent as well.
