Fifth Quarter readers, I would love to know what your favorite amusement ride is. For a lot of college football fans it could be the carousel, the coaching carousel to be exact. We are literally only three days past the regular season and there are already 12 FBS Head Coach Openings. Right now the market favors the coach, and some guys are going to get an absolute bag. Look at Matt Rhule who just was fired in the NFL land the head coaching position at Nebraska. After going 11-27 with the Carolina Panthers, Nebraska is going to pay Rhule $74 Million over the next eight years. The question is which head coach will land the next big job like that. So let’s take a look at what Head Coach Openings there are in college football so far.

Currently there are two Power Five jobs and nine Group of five jobs available. Deion Sanders has claimed that Colorado has offered him a contract and several other schools are communicating with him.
