After an awesome start to the Thanksgiving weekend with the Egg Bowl last night, SEC Bowl Predictions are getting clearer to make. Entering this weekend there are ten bowl eligible teams in the SEC and three more teams could earn that right Saturday. Currently Auburn, Missouri and Vanderbilt are all sitting at 5-6 records. Auburn and Vanderbilt have major hills to climb for that sixth win as they face their in-state rivals. Missouri is also in a rivalry game with Arkansas this weekend so their journey to a sixth win is a little more manageable. Regardless SEC teams should be excited for this bowl season, without further ado here is where we think each SEC team is going.
SEC Bowl Predictions
Peach (CFP): Georgia vs. USC
Sugar: LSU vs. Kansas State
Orange: Alabama vs. Clemson
Cotton: Tennessee vs. Tulane
Citrus: Mississippi State vs Penn State
ReliaQuest: Ole Miss vs Iowa
Music City Bowl: Kentucky vs Minnesota
Gator Bowl: South Carolina vs Florida State
Texas Bowl: Arkansas vs Oklahoma
Liberty Bowl: Missouri vs Texas Tech
Birmingham Bowl: Florida vs ECU
The thing to keep an eye on is Tennessee. Right now they are sitting at #10 and still in prime position for an at large New Year’s Six Bowl Game. The big thing to see is if the committee will keep them ahead of Penn State. In our opinion they are in direct conflict for the Cotton Bowl Spot. If Tennessee does not receive that bid that could shuffle other teams around. If you would like a bowl prediction list from a blue chip media company feel free to use CBS’s to compare.
