QBs
Top Plays
Michael Penix Jr $10,200
Bo Nix $10,000
Jordan Travis $9,000
Carson Beck $8,700
Jalen Milroe $8,400
• If you want Penix Jr or Nix you have to pay a hefty price. I’m not willing to pay 10K for Nix on the Road at Washington but I’m willing to have a few shares of Penix Jr at home. Jordan Travis is averaging 24.3 FPPG and faces a Syracuse team who was just demolished by Drake Maye and UNC. Carson Beck is a great play at 8.7K. The Dawgs have a matchup vs Vanderbilt and Beck could easily get 300 yards 3 TDs. I believe Jalen Milroe will be lower owned and at 8.4K I’m willing to buy in on him.
Best Value Plays
Taulia Tagovailoa $8,200
J.J. McCarthy $8,100
Kyle McCord $7,900
Emory Jones $7,300
• My favorite price adjusted play here is Emory Jones. He’s averaging 27.2 FPPG and has a home matchup vs Iowa State. Jones provides production on the ground so you could technically play him naked without any pass catchers if you want. Kyle McCord hasn’t impressed me but if he’s below 8K I’m willing to bet on his upside having the elite recievers he has. The Illinois Secondary hasn’t been as good as it’s been in the past so I expect Taulia to bounce back with a big game.
Longshot Plays
Max Johnson $6,500
Luke Altmyer $6,200
Hudson Card $5,200
• Hudson Card is dirt cheap and should be throwing often if the Boilermakers are trailing Ohio State. If I want a cheap option at QB who has upside and good weapons I’ll take a chance on Max Johnson. Luke Altmyer will probably be 1% owned, I don’t imagine anyone playing him which is why a Altmyer/Williams stack is intriguing to me.
RBs
Top Plays
Blake Corum $8,400
Braelon Allen $8,300
Bucky Irving $7,500
Trey Benson $7,200
• Michigan hasn’t had to give Corum a crazy workload and for 8.4K I’m going to pass on him this week. Braelon Allen has a matchup vs Iowa this week. He has the talent to get 100 yards 2 TDs but I’m going to pass on him at 8.3K this week. My favorite price adjusted play here this week is Bucky Irving at 7.5K. I want some pieces in the ORE/UW game and Irving doesn’t have a too expensive of a price tag. Trey Benson had a big game last week and for 7.2K he’s a good price adjusted play.
Best Value Plays
Daijun Edwards $6,800
Devin Neal $6,7000
Ollie Gordon II $6,200
• Edwards is possibly my favorite RB play this week. I love the matchup, price tag and could see a 100-150 yard performance with a few TDs. If you’re looking for some value plays with upside Gordon (15.6 FPPG) and Neal (23 FPPG) could provide that value.
Longshot Plays
Kendall Milton $5,100
Chip Trayanum $5,000
Donovan Edwards $4,900
Kaden Feagin $4,500
• Sooner or later, Donovan Edwards is going to have a big week and I don’t want to miss it. If you want to stack up at QB or WR/TE this week Edwards has a lot of upside. Milton has an intriguing game script to me, Georgia could get a big lead and pound the rock. Feagin isn’t well known but the Illinois RB is a BIG and Strong player who has been getting more opportunities, nobody will play him and a GoalLine TD or two could put you over the top.
WR/TE
Top Plays
Marvin Harrison Jr $8,500
Troy Franklin $8,100
Rome Odunze $7,900
Brock Bowers $7,400
• All four of these plays this week are GREAT. My favorite is Troy Franklin at 8.1K because he’s the clear #1 for Oregon in a game that could be high scoring but you can’t go wrong with any of these plays.
Best Value Plays
Jalen McMillan $7,000
Keon Coleman $6,900
Xzavier Henderson $6,500
Roman Wilson $6,300
Ja’Lynn Polk $6,100
Andrew Armstrong $6,100
Tez Johnson $5,900
Isaiah Williams $5,500
Jeshaun Jones $5,400
Kaden Prather $5,000
• There’s no shortage of value receivers this week, the toughest question is who are the best ones to play? Don’t worry I have you covered!!!!! Jalen McMillan at 7K is a fantastic play, he’s coming back from injury but when healthy has 2-3 TDs a game potential. I want to get some pieces in this game and 7K isn’t too bad of a price for McMillan. Roman Wilson is a player who will be low owned but makes an excellent low owned stack with JJ McCarthy. Andrew Armstrong for Arkansas will be a low owned contrarian play and he’s averaging 17.1 FPPG. Isaiah Williams at 5.5K has excellent value for a player averaging 16 FPPG. He’s yet to catch a TD in 2023 but I’m predicting him to find the end zone vs the Terps.
Longshot Plays
Ty Washington $4,300
Braden Smith $4,200
Jaheim Bell $4,100
Corey Dyches $3,900
Jake Johnson $3,800
• Washington made his debut for Arkansas last week and scored 28 Fantasy Points. At 4.3K that’s a player I’m taking some chances on vs Alabama. Braden Smith is averaging 12.4 FPPG and a player I’m looking to stack with Emory Jones at QB. Jaheim Bell at 4.1K is an excellent value and will be an even better play if Johnny Wilson doesn’t play vs Syracuse (Check the Injury Report). Max Johnson loves throwing to his brother Jake so at 3.8K that’s excellent value.
