Congrats Tennessee

The Tennessee Volunteers had a rough November, but it doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great 2022. Many College Football fans across the United State’s couldn’t wait for Tennessee to stumble. When they finally did it was time to shoot jokes all across social media. You know your program is heading in the right direction when opposing fans are joyful you lose two games down the stretch. Regardless of this I believe everyone needs a reality check of what we witnessed from the Volunteers. Congrats Tennessee fans your program is finally heading in the right direction.

2022 Accomplishments

  • First 10+ Winning Season since the 2007 season.
  • First possible Top 10 Finish since the 2001 season.
  • Was ranked #1 in the country, only a few teams have done this in the CFP era.
  • NY6 Bowl Game Appearance
  • Beat Florida for the first time since 2016.
  • Beat Alabama for the first time since 2006.
  • Defeated the SEC West Champion in blowout fashion.

Reality Check

While non Tennessee fans will read this and scream moral victory, it’s absolutely not. Anytime a team reaches the accolades like Tennessee did this season it’s a huge victory. Let’s be honest with ourselves the fanbase has been patiently waiting for a season like this for a long time. They have been through four different head coaches being let down time and time again. Tennessee is no longer the laughing stock in the college football world, but a contender to consistently win big. It wasn’t long ago many were skeptical of the Josh Heupel hire, but you can feel the difference now.
