Florida State received great news on Thursday afternoon as four-star safety Conrad Hussey from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale (FL) decided to flip his commitment from the Nittany Lions to the Seminoles.
With the commitment of Hussey, the Seminoles rank 17th in 247Sports’ overall composite ranking (which includes recruits and transfers). This now marks the fifth defensive back commitment for Florida State as they look to completely overhaul a position room that could be without All-ACC safety Jammie Robinson during the 2023 season.
As for the Seminoles, this was a massive victory to obtain such a talented defensive back. Before his December 9th official visit to Florida State, he last visited Tallahassee on June 22nd. Leading up to December, the coaching staff was hopeful that they would get him on campus again. Florida State pushed their poker chips “all-in” and succeeded in their gamble.
