Auburn IOL Transfer Keiondre Jones Commits to FSU

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins is cooking with hot grease on the transfer portal recruiting trail as he secures the commitment of 6-foot-4, 340 pound interior offensive lineman Keiondre Jones on Tuesday afternoon.

This now marks the third offensive linemen transfer that the Seminoles have gotten this week: Colorado interior offensive lineman Casey Roddick, UTEP offensive tackle Jeremiah Byers and Auburn interior offensive lineman Keiondre Jones. According to Pro Football Focus, Jones graded out at an overall 53.0 grade with a 61.9 pass blocking grade and a 54.6 run blocking grade this season as a reserve. However, during the 2021 season, he started in all thirteen games for the Auburn Tigers and possessed an overall PFF grade of 71.1.

With starting guards Dillan Gibbons and D’Mitri Emmanuel exceeding their eligibilities after the 2022 season, the Seminoles now have serviceable depth at the offensive guard position with Roddick, Jones, and possibly even Byers if they decide to move him to guard instead of tackle.

Florida State could have 17 scholarship offensive linemen for the 2023 season if four-star offensive tackle commit Lucas Simmons and three-star offensive tackle target Christopher Otto sign with the Seminoles on Wednesday.
