The Florida State Seminoles have a variety of players on its roster that are contemplating the NFL such as quarterback Jordan Travis, running back Trey Benson, wide receiver Johnny Wilson, offensive tackle Robert Scott Jr., defensive end Jared Verse, defensive tackle Fabien Lovett, linebackers Tatum Bethune and Kalen DeLoach as well as defensive backs Akeem Dent and Jammie Robinson.

Both Verse and Robinson met with the media on Wednesday afternoon to discuss their future in regards to playing in the Seminoles’ upcoming bowl game.

”We are just working right now day-by-day with practices,” Robinson said. “Trying to see who we are playing in a bowl game. We are just ready to get that tenth win of the season. That’s what we are ready for and focused on right now.”

”Oh yeah (I’m playing) for sure,” Robinson said. “That ain’t no debate. I love football, I love the game. That’s what I am here for. I help get the team wins. I’m a team player. Just because its a bowl game, it’s another opportunity and game for me. Just showcasing what I do and love.”

“Through everything, I’m playing in the bowl game no matter what, Verse said. “I am trying to give my best effort. Still deciding what I want to do with my future and everything like that.”

As of right now, Verse is projected as a first-round pick while Robinson is projected as a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Seminoles had a tremendous 2022 season under third year head football coach Mike Norvell where they finished with a 9-3 regular season record and beat both of their arch-rivals- Miami and Florida. However, the biggest task of the offseason for this coaching staff will be keeping the core of players in tact to potentially have an opportunity to win the ACC next season.

With the conference ditching divisions next year, the path to a trip to Charlotte, North Carolina is quite possible for the Seminoles given the fact that their eight conference opponents in 2023 are Boston College, Clemson, Miami, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. Not to mention, Florida State could potentially return 6 offensive starters and 7 defensive starters for the 2023 season.

2023 could be a special season in Tallahassee.
