We just finished up the best week of the regular season, and what an exciting rivalry week it was. The SEC would meet the ACC in four separate instate rivalry games. The SEC would go victorious this weekend winning three out of the four rivalry games. For another season the SEC defeats the ACC going 6-3 in the regular season. As we said before no other Power 5 conferences share footprints like these two do. These games definitely matter to the fans, as majority of them are legitimate bragging rights. One cool tidbit is that Florida State would defeat the SEC West Division Champion and South Carolina defeated the ACC Atlantic Champion. Florida State (an ACC Team) would also end up with the same amount of SEC wins as Auburn, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

SEC vs. ACC Teams in Bowl Games
- Gator Bowl
- Potentially the Orange Bowl
More then likely there is only one guaranteed bowl match up for the ACC and SEC to play each other. The Orange Bowl will select the ACC Champion and it has a high percentage in selecting an at large SEC team. Projections have suggested Alabama would be that team or it could be Tennessee. Right now the ACC Championship is between Clemson and UNC, one of those two teams will be heading to the Orange Bowl. Even with the bowl matchups the SEC is too far out of reach for the ACC to make up in their deficit. The SEC has bragging rights over the ACC this season.
