The Florida State Seminoles are now officially on track for their best season since 2016. It has been six long seasons since Seminole faithful have been able to be this optimistic in the month of November. Jimbo Fisher made the chicken shit, Willie Taggart tossed it, and now Mike Norvell is making chicken salad. FSU Head Coach Mike Norvell has said since the beginning the process would include “The Climb“. After today’s blowout win against Louisiana you can see there is commitment and buy in from the Florida State program. Not only did the Noles looked dominant in black today, they played dominant as well. We could even say the Noles are the most improved team in college football right now. Let’s take a closer look at the #19 ranked Seminoles and this four game winning streak.
Four Games Four Wins
Wins versus: Georgia Tech, Miami, Syracuse, Louisiana
Total Score: FSU 173 Opponents 39
Total Offense: FSU 1,956 Yards Opponents 901 Yards
Potential 10 Win Season
Like we said earlier in the article, Florida State fans have not experienced a 10 win season since 2016. The fact that Norvell has FSU in this position at year three is the progress Nole fans want to see. If it all works out the hype for 2023 is going to be unreal. If you told FSU fans they could experience a 10 Win Season, victory over Miami, potential victory over Florida, and a potential bowl victory they would take it every time. I understand Florida State still has to finish but bottom line the Noles are in a good place today.
Bowl Projection
Many media projections and our own had Florida State playing Texas in the Cheez-It-Bowl. Others have a Gator Bowl possibility for the Noles. With chaos pending in the college football world, although unlikely do not rule Florida State out for an at large spot to a NY6 Bowl. A team that could potentially be on a dominant five game winning streak and climbing in the polls will be considered. The Cotton Bowl does not have a tie in to any certain conference. Like I said a NY6 Bowl is unlikely but a 9-3 red hot Florida State team that could be hovering near the top ten could be tempting to take.
