After a somewhat tumultuous Early Signing Day, four-star offensive tackle Julian Armella made sure it ended on a high note for Florida State.
Armella signed with the Seminoles in December and will be enrolling to Florida State this summer. Before he enrolls, Armella conducted an interview with NorvellCentral, discussing what it means to finally become a Seminole, his relationship with offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins, goals for his freshman season and what he would to say to the Florida State fan base.
Below is the full interview with Armella:
What is it like to finally be arriving in Tallahassee and becoming a Florida State Seminole?
“It is honestly a dream come true to finally be able to be a part of the Florida State family; I am looking forward to this journey. I know there will be many ups and downs, but at the end of the day, we will become victorious.
What’s your relationship been like with Coach Atkins?
“My relationship with my coach is (that he’s) more than just a ‘coach.’ He is a friend, a family member and someone who I trust. He is someone who is going to help us win championships.”
During your freshman season at Florida State, what are some things that you would like to accomplish?
“Honestly, I am just happy to be here. I know that there will be many opportunities for me to play young. That is not my worry though; my emphasis is to become bigger, stronger and faster so that when my time does come, I am more than ready. Also, I am looking forward to furthering my education.”
Do you have any words to the Florida State fan base that you would like to share?
“There are a couple of things that I would like to get off of my chest. We are going to change the culture and become victorious in the upcoming years. As a student-athlete, all of you have my word that I will raise the standard and give it all I got. Some things (that) you are getting from me is a teammate/family member and someone who doesn’t stop grinding until the job is finished. And finally, I’m extremely excited and blessed to be a part of your family. Can’t wait to start this chapter with y’all!”
