Introduction

We’ve created a 130-team bracket using ESPN’s FPI as our ranking system.

“But, anyone can create a bracket, how will the games be simulated?” Great question; NCAA Game Sim was used.

For each game on the bracket, the matchup was simulated once and every day a write-up will be done.

For the matchup, player statistics will be simulated and included in the write-ups.

Finally, thanks to the NCAA Game Sim premium membership, we’ll show the results of doing 100 simulations all at once. This is to see if a given result was more towards the expected side or if a given result was more towards the upset or luckier side.

All of the results have been simulated and tabulated, so at the time of writing the introduction, the results are already in.

This is designed to be fun, so please enjoy.

From Georgia to Massachusetts, here’s the 130-team bracket:

Match 89

(3) Miami vs. (6) LSU

How Miami Got Here: 24-7 win over (14) Arizona

How LSU Got Here: 48-20 win over (11) Middle Tennessee

Throw to score, run to win.

Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke was 23-for-35 with 265 yards and four touchdowns.

LSU quarterback Max Johnson was 21-for-35 with 277 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception.

Also, shoutout to Miami receiver Charleston Rambo, who had 10 receptions, 108 receiving yards, and a touchdown.

The major difference here was the running backs.

LSU’s Tyrion Davis-Price had 133 yards and a touchdown on 20 attempts.

Miami running back Jaylan Knighton, on the other hand, was held to just 46 yards on 11 carries.

Miami’s inability to run cost it on too many drives. LSU wins a shootout, 45-34.

In 100 simulations, Miami won 55 of them by an average score of 26.9-24.2.

This is our fifth upset in six days.

Winner’s Next Matchup: (2) Cincinnati

Tomorrow’s Matchup: (3) Texas vs. (6) Western Kentucky

Will we see a sixth upset in one week? That’s for us to know, and you to find out by reading tomorrow.
